About
One law,
one aim.
What is The Oracles?
We’re a studio that does our best to orient ourselves around the beauty of God’s law and the weight of a good story.
Our name has its roots in the Hebrew word מַשָּׂא (pronounced mas-saw), used about a dozen times in Isaiah to introduce a word from God: a burden, a pronouncement, an oracle.
One law, all of life
God’s law orders every aspect of life, and each element has its own expression.
Every part of our life has a story connected to the way God made things to work, His law.
Church: Redemption & Revelation. State: We the People. Market: A Collective Garden. Family: Foundation of Society. Individual: Self Government.
A ministry film, a campaign, a wedding, a construction site, a personal struggle. They look unrelated, but they share a core truth: they flourish when operating consistently with the way things are. That’s the story we want to tell.
How we got here
Two friends, more than a decade in.
One had been trying to share the beauty of God’s world and kept struggling to find the form. The other had been living in that beauty and hadn’t seen it as clearly as he’d thought. We needed each other to see it, and we needed each other to share it.
What looked like two halves of a split thing, God knit back together in The Oracles.
Who we are
Aaron is technical, obsessed with the details. Dabraham barely notices the details, but knows exactly how they’ll make you feel. We need each other to make anything at all.

Dabraham
A seasoned illustrator who directs, the creative influence and primary storyteller.

Aaron
A former pastor who shoots and cuts, the DP/editor who brings the vision to life.
